  2. ME TOOOOOO! I was supposed to go, but some stuff got in the way. However, good news–intrepid reporter Mar Preston, author of police procedural NO DICE, has grabbed her Nikon, flown off to St. Louis this morning at 7 am, and is probably shooting the event as I write this. A full photo-report will be forthcoming on Ashedit. Go, Mar, go!

  5. Hilary Davidson emailed me a short while ago. She’s so looking forward to meeting everybody at the Meshuggah Cafe. It’s going to be a great night! If you are reading this and planning on going, do drop by and say hello to Hilary in person. I assume she didn’t leave a comment here because she’s traveling. Here’s a portion of her body of work: The Damage Done (Forge, 2010) + The Next One to Fall (Forge, February 14, 2012)

  6. Too bad you couldn’t make it, Elaine. We’ll miss you.

I’m looking forward to meeting Jed. He does so much for writers and the writing community. Apart from N@B, he writes regularly for Ransom Notes, the Barnes and Noble Mystery blog, keeps a great blog, Hardboiled Wonderland, and he’s a kickass writer with publications all over the place. He doesn’t like to toot his own horn, so I will: Jed Ayres is THE MAN.

  7. Glenn! Thanks for checkin in. I know you are traveling too, so I appreciate the effort to find email access(if you don’t have a Smart Phone, cos I don’t). Anyway, I know you are going to be GREAT Wednesday night. What are you going to read for your esteemed audience?

  8. Esteemed audience? Hmmm. I’m think I gonna read from a piece going into NEEDLE Mag, “Venice Beach Birthday Boogie.” I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of cool writers. Can’t wait. Thanks Elaine.
